I don't believe there is anything wrong with the changes that are going on.  Now that the Worlds Collide storyline, planned way before any of these changes started, is almost over and we are getting peaks at the aftermath which is showing the return of a lot of characters I am more than confident your beloved characters will return and that you jumped the gun before waiting to see what happened. 

Reading over your petition I noticed you don't even mention Ken Penders who was the cause of this issue in the first place. Regardless of the last minute changes, made as a precaution incase the character rights were taken from Archie, Ken has gone on record now (most recently at SDCC) that Archie can use his characters if they want.  So I foresee them coming back in grand style.

I've been with the book since 1995 and seen it go through some crap horrible times but Ian and the current staff is what got me believing in the comic again.  I had fear but I kept the faith that things would turn around and it's looking like it is.  At least it is to me.

So sorry I'm not interested in signing it.  I hope you don't lose faith in this awesome book.
